Figure 1: The rough sketch of the chassis and suspension

Introduction

The RC Baja is a designed challenge course that has 3 different challenges drag race, obstacle course, and an off-road obstacle course. The RC Baja competition is design and put on by ASME. For these challenges the chassis must be built strong and sturdy so it can make it through the challenge course and the suspension also has to be able to withstand all the different challenges that the suspension will go through and it needs to be able to have the best result. The RC Baja car will be designed through lots of calculations and analyses the car will also be tested before it is put in the competition.

Results
after doing the three different tests there were some redesigning that needed to be done after the first trial the first option was to put rubber on the front bumper then after the next trial 4 a-arms broke so the a-arms were then redesigned and printed in carbon fiber and this worked the car hit the wall and was able to drive.
The next test was the drop test and there was no redesign the car hit the ground and had an average of 0.5 in deflection for the three trials.
The final test was the top speed test and the car had an average top speed of 6.5 mph but after doing the ASME Baja Competition the car looked like it was driving faster so the top speed test might be redone.
